All the years I had this thing and used it a few times when I needed to I first noticed the writing to the left of the power switch just the other day. All these years I thought when the power button was lit that it just meant the unit was on and ready to go.

Reply:I live in Houston, and was driving to meet a friend for lunch and a tour of several pawn shops.  I had the radio on with live coverage of the launch, but they had become so routine that I was hardly listening until that moment.  A couple of local DJs took John Denver's "On The Wings of a Dream" and dubbed in President Reagan's speech about the crew.  I had a copy on a cassette, but lost it.

Reply:I don't mind all the hijacking. Carry on. No idea about the welder, I don't think I ever payed much attention to it, I would flip the toggles to what I needed and would weld. I remember seeing the light on and thinking nothing of it and just continuing to weld along. lolI am a tig'er (someone asked) I just happen to have these machines with wire in my shop for those jobs that are to cheap and dirty for my nice tig torch.
