Bought this machine 5 years ago and never got it to work . Have the manual with kid stuff partial shematics. Trouble shoot area---a joke--see if it is plugged in! The unit's white light on and preflow air cycles for over 2 minutes and shuts down. Called the hotline and got nowhere. Asked him for the actual circuit layout--and says noway and they do have them. This unit is the first PC introduced and is more like a boat anchor. Spending for one circuit board-PC2 is over$300 and if that does not correct the problem,I'm screwed. The machine is not worth it. Is there some body that can tell me where I can get the circuit layout,it could be a bad ressistor at 10cents or pin point a common problem, or I can buy the boards at a fair price.There is a site that charges $160 USA and still is not worth the cost. If someone has the schematics-let me know the cost-I'd rather pay that then get hosed by Hyperthrem. George [email protected] edited by geo1671; 10-28-2005 at 12:35 PM.
Reply:How much did the max40 set you back? My uncle's neighbor has one he's trying to unload. So far it looks like I will get it but if support is lacking, I may pass. I don't know alot about the units but would love a plasma cutter. Anyone else have any info?
