HOW TO: Attach welding hood to hard hat

My bf needs to attach his welding hood to his hard hat using Jackson mounts (like the one in the photo attached). He's having a hard time figuring out how to do this and needs it done for tomorrow. Please help!! Thanks so much.
Reply:He needs the hard hat that has the slots in it. If he doesn't have that then he needs the hat band that slides over the hat and clips to the brim and attaches to the hood.

Reply:Of couse it's not safe and after 23 years I'm still waiting to get my money over it. A hard hat hood is a joke. I've had more neck pain from using a real one and have never been hit in the head while welding so I've had no need for one. Reply:I see fibre metal also makes quick lock blades that work with the slotted hard hats.
