Reply:It looks like a sibling to an angle iron shear I bought at a high school equipment auction.  I thought it was the neatest thing since painted nails for about the length of time it took to set it up.  After it just getting in the way for years I finally found somone who wanted it.I'd suggest talking to your local high school shop class instructor if your local high school is one of those dinosaurs with a shop class.life is good
Reply:Dear Hary:With All Do Respect......were Your Comments Intended To Be Helpful???  I Was Thinking Of A Manufactures Name Etc.  Maybe A Model Number.  I Don't Know How Much Fabrication You Do In The Field...but This Shear Is Much Easier To Put In The Truck Compaired To My Pirhana P-36. I Really Am Looking For Info. And Not So Much Condesending Comments.  But Thanks Anyway.Denny
Reply:Not sure what you found condescending.  Ease up a bit here...
Reply:Dennyk,Those comments made by harv were meant to be helpful.  To restate, you might be able to contact a local vo-tech high school shop teacher to get infomation on that, because Harv bought one there.  Besides, we all have our favorite useful dinosaurs, Harv included.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.

Reply:The rounded corners were all made with pipe plasma'd in quarters.  The rear corners are sections of ten inch while the front corners and top were .188 wall six inch pipe in a previous life. The back compartment goes all the way through for holding stuff like digging bars, post hole diggers, shovels, brooms, sighting pipes, etc.Two of the clear lights in the headache rack are back up and the other two are cargo.  I also have lights in the big box.  They're LED which aren't too bright but work just fine when looking for something after dark.I made the bed in two weeks with one welder helping me back in summer of 97.  It went on a new 3500 HD.  We entered it into the World Fence News Fence Truck of the Year Contest that fall and won it.  What made it fun was an F550 welding rig out of California that'd won custom truck contests out there equipped about like mine got third. Reply:Harv,  wheres the bumper sticker.....I guess you are waiting for the new round I hope IF it Catches...Let it Burn
Reply:I know I have seen one of these before- I thought it might be either a W.A. Whitney or a Roper Whitney, and it might be worth checking with the parts guys, not the salesmen, at both of them- http://www.roperwhitney.com/http://www.wawhitney.com/but since it has that S in a Diamond logo on it, I'm guessing its not one of theirs. You might try sending a pic of it to enerpac, and asking them if they know who made it.But regardless, I doubt the original maker is still making em, so I think you are going to have to get new blades made anyway, and Cleveland is definitely the place to start- if they cant do it, they know who can.
Reply:Reis:  Tanks Man!!!!   You Think Enerpac Might Have Made It Huh?  I'll Give Them A Call....as Well As The Two Whitneys..  Thanks Again.Denny
Reply:Harv...nice Truck!!!!!!  I'd Bet That You Have To "shut Her Down" At The Filling Station....so That The Pumps Can Get Ahead Of The Engine!!!!!!!   LolDenny

Reply:wow Harv,  that sky diving sure does a number on your beard.   hehe    When was the first time you sky dived?  You must enjoy or you ya wouldnt be doing it I guess   Where do you dive from?   near the house or somewhere else?   Must be fun but I aint got hte gut for it.  I was air det cause I figured a C-130 was easier for my stomach then a landing craft.   I dont know then they showd us how the seals do their halos and I lost my cookies IF it Catches...Let it BurnChris I think I'm like most everyone else.  There's this list....... I wanted to do it once. Skydive Dallas up in Whiteright has a program where you can go through six hours of class and then solo at thirteen five by yourself if you call having two guys closer than your own skin being by yourself.I would do it again.  But the best part about it for me was the flying of the chute.  That happened about a mile up and it was unbelievable.  I can see where one could get addicted to it.My death wish is fulfilled with welding galvanized pipe.  I was told a job I'd bid was a go today. Thirty two hundred feet of galvanized schedule forty pipe with fifty eight inch V Mesh fence plus an arena a hundred by two hundred and fifty feet.  I'll be ordering eighty eight hundred feet of pipe twenty four foot lengths.  A lot of work for a man that will be fifty eight this year.life is good
Reply:oh my gosh Harv, sure hope you gonna have a helper along if for no other reason just to give you a lil buddy system relief with all that galv.  I hate the stuff personally.  But I know i can be safely and properly handled.  Course im one of them gets sick off the stuff.  Though never had a problem stick welding,   I dont stick and mig the same way.  I prefer the stick.  Good luck and I know you got your work cut out for ya on this one.  If I dont hear from ya for a while Ill know why...just dont be a stranger too long....if theres a procession of black cars from waco to dallas Im sure Ill be joining in...and I dont want to so you stay safe bud.IF it Catches...Let it Burn
Reply:Harv, I got to dive once myself(SKYdive, that is) A real kick in the pants! I had to buddy jump(pro strapped to your back) and we went out at 12000ft. Our chute got spun up on opening and the two of us pulling opposite risers finally got it open around 4000ft( whew!) The pro said, after we were down, that we were about 2 seconds from going to reserve. I'd do it again in a heartbeat but I don't think it would be as exciting as the first. I got the video and tho they edited most of the streamer out you can still see it start to spin.  Great fun!!!!!!!!
