Mornin:: I just bought 2 gal. of TIG coolant... Upon review I have discovered that it does not contain any pump lube.. The Dynaflux product line {DF929} does .. Is there a product made that could be added to the coolant I purchased? I am in upstate NY and my cooler will need to be winterized down to 0 degrees as I just have an unheated garage to store it, I suppose I could cary it to the basement but that is a chore on my old bones..... thanks...altecMiller Syncrowave 250 /w Dynaflux TIG coolerLincoln Engine drive
Reply:Sounds like you might have saved yourself some money by using WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SPECKED.Sorry, I don't know how to formulate a TIG chiller coolant with pump lube. I suspect Dynaflux does. Maybe call and ask them? Good luck.
Reply:Kelvin:: I am new to TIG and not a tradesman such as you...... I came seeking help, and do readily admit I made an error... The product was supplied by my local welding shop. My TIG equipment was bought used and did not have any factory specs... I am trying to do things right but as a rookie I guess I'll make a few mistakes along the way.........
Reply:Are you sure you need pump lubricant? Ethylene glycol has lubricating properties all on its own. It's slippery feeling. Try to download a manual online for your cooler and see what it calls for.Miller coolant is EG and water, that's it.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
