Need help with pipe schedules

So around 4th of July week I bought some 2" Sched 80 pipe. It only has a wall thickness of 1/4". I thought 2" inch sched 80 was 3/8" wall. Am I missing something, or did I ask for the wrong thing. The I.D. is 1 3/4" and the OD is 2". Did he give me tube?Miller Maxstar 200 SDPiperliner #10 Gold
Reply:Sounds like you have mechanical tube.   But if your OD is 2" and the ID is 1.75 that means your wall is only .125 and not 1/4 like you've said.2" sch 80 pipe has a 2.375 OD and a .218 wall.

Reply:Sorry to butt in, but if your OD. is 2", and your ID. is 1 3/4, than your wall thickness is 1/8"....

Reply:That is not even half of it. After a certain diameter SCHD STD is different to 80 and SCHD XS different to 160.Also for pipes with threading (galvanized pipes etc) 3in is 76.1mm instead of 73mm.Madness I tell you

Reply:If the pipe you bought has a 2.375in OD and 0.218in wall thickness  then you have the right pipe.
