I learned something new today in the world of welding. So looking around the site I came across 2 treads about American Optical Weld Cool lenses. I said to myself I have 2 of these one in a school welding hood and the other wrapped up in some paper towels out in the garage. Go out to see what Ive got, sure enough a #10 and a #12. The #10 was in the welding hood and #12 was in the paper towels. I got these from my dad years ago around 1992 along some old Victor oxygen and acetylene regulators (had these rebuilt), Victor wrench and other old tools. He bought these and other old tools, bearing of various sizes lets just says a lot of stuff. He worked in a mine in southern Arizona until they closed the doors.
Reply:So how much, $1000 each? lolBut seriously, good find! I remember my old man handing me a gold lense when I was a kid to look at a solar eclipse. I always wonder if it was one of these "godly" lenses!

Reply:With the price of gold closed to $1,300 an ounce, start asking at $1,300?Last edited by Gavino; 07-30-2014 at 05:34 PM.Reason: wording
Reply:I'll leave the hood alone, somebody might be looking for old classic welding hood.
Reply:Here are some pictures of the first set Victor regulators before and after. My dad gave me a other set of Victor regulators a few months ago that need to be rebuilt.
Reply:Where did you rebuild them? That guy in idaho?
