I purchased this cooler on eBay.  I was gonna to build my own but couldn'tpass it up at this price.  All in for $142, I offered $90 and it was accepted, shipping was $52 .http://www.ebay.com/itm/350589175113...84.m1439.l2648I believe there are more available. So I take it apart and find what you see.  It externally resembles a Coolmate 3,I'm just wondering if it is one.  So we're selling stuff to China now?Last edited by Drf255; 09-18-2012 at 09:56 PM.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum

Reply:I never said they made false labels. Maybe they are finally realizing the value of American made products.  If it was a miller it should still have their logo on it even if made for sale in China. Is that possibly Japanese or some other language? That would seem to be a more likely situation.  Japan, south Korea, etc make lots of quality products...    did u buy it from a US Seller?Last edited by soutthpaw; 09-19-2012 at 08:24 AM.Tiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250
Reply:Interesting. I wonder if it was a contract deal. Also, being 220v how would you hook up / adapt that to....oh say....a syncrowave?Miller Dynasty 200DXMiller Spectrum 250DMiller Millermatic 200Bunch of old blue dinosaurs....
Reply:Most likely manufactured by miller for a Chinese customer. Actually, I'll venture to say I'm sure of it.  Notice the miller voltage test & other decals inside the unit. Procon pump, US made motor, yeah that's standard for coolmate 3 style units.Miller (more correctly ITW) manufactures many products for other companies who put their names on them. I've seen coolmate style coolers manufactured by miller under many different names & colors.Super good deal. I would have bought them all at that price & sold them off at a little profit. Looks like the input & output fittings may have to be changed to standard water reverse thread ones tho.Jon, the motor is dual voltage. Just swap out the connections inside & you're good to go.Last edited by Forging Ahead; 09-19-2012 at 09:33 AM.I'm not crazy..... That's what the voices tell me anyways.
Reply:Oh, I will add ITW has a very viable market in Asia. This is not uncommon to see products such as these rebadged & sold elsewhere on the global market. All the same, it's a real Miller unit & a darn good price on it as well. You could repaint & decal it & one would hardly notice. I sold some units some years ago similar to these only they were painted standard Miller blue, but no external miller decals or nameplates on them. Just ITW's standard internal decals & a Miller serial number. When stuff like this comes along, deals can be had. If it had Miller decals & blue paint, it would have sold for well over $350 easily. I regularly seen that or better for them when I did resale full time.Good score!I'm not crazy..... That's what the voices tell me anyways.
Reply:We have a Stat Cooler SC3 which is just a rebadged Coolmate 3 with a white lid.  It was marketed by some medical company. The LA325367 label looks like the Miller serial number.  Also note the Ideal brand hose clamps. One thing that concerns me - the 100/200 input voltage rating of the motor."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder

Reply:I already picked up a 20 torch, running it on a bernard 350ss cooler that I also picked up  while ago, I just figured this thing was too good to pass up and it's a bit more compact than the bernard I think miller 330a bp TIGmiller dynasty 200DX TIGmillermatic 185 MIGthermal dynamics cutmaster 101 plasma cuttersnap-on YA5550 plasma cutterhypertherm powermax 30 plasma cutterbaileigh CS225 cold sawetc....

Reply:yeah, the difference between 100/200 and 110/220 is only 10% so really shouldn't be a problem at all, the motor is rated at both 50/60hz which is important so it should be fine I think... motors are pretty tolerant of small voltage deviations, 10-15% shouldn't be an issue...miller 330a bp TIGmiller dynasty 200DX TIGmillermatic 185 MIGthermal dynamics cutmaster 101 plasma cuttersnap-on YA5550 plasma cutterhypertherm powermax 30 plasma cutterbaileigh CS225 cold sawetc....

Reply:yeah, that bernard is very loud... I was planning on rigging up a circuit trying to make it only come on when I hit the pedal and then run for 1 min past pedal release, but if this one is much quieter might not even have to bother with that... thanks for the info miller 330a bp TIGmiller dynasty 200DX TIGmillermatic 185 MIGthermal dynamics cutmaster 101 plasma cuttersnap-on YA5550 plasma cutterhypertherm powermax 30 plasma cutterbaileigh CS225 cold sawetc....

Reply:Please know this:  China DOES make fake labels!  They make fake everything.  I'm not saying your motor is not actually made in the US, but they fake everything, and in some cases (appearance-wise) do a pretty good job.  Operationally, however; they still produce cheap chinese junk.  There is no governing body that the chicoms have to answer to, therefore; they get away with it."Never mistake education for intelligence."AIRCO Oxy/AccMiller ThunderboltOriginally Posted by turbocad6yeah, the difference between 100/200 and 110/220 is only 10% ...

Reply:So after a little research, these water coolers were built for Miller's bed partner in Japan - OTC Dihen.  Yesits a Miller unit.  Yes it has the wrong water fittings on it. Yes it will run on 110/220.Miller Dynasty 200DXMiller Spectrum 250DMiller Millermatic 200Bunch of old blue dinosaurs....
