I am fairly new to the forum but I have enjoyed it and learned some tricks from y'all. I am curious and want to ask if there are other oil field welders on here doing the kind of work I do. I nipple up conductor pipe, cut conductor pipe and casing and weld on well heads, fabricate flow line, choke line, and do repairs and fabrication on the drillin rigs that drill for natural gas. I have not seen a lot of posts about this type of work but it is being done all over the country. So if your an oil field welder please post and let us know what area of the country your in and anything ya wanna say about the work you are doing. The worst thing I can think of happening is if everything I ever welded instantly became UNWELDED
Reply:I played around in the Jonah field outside of Pinedale, Wy, snd up in Williston, ND. Hated well heads, loved everything else. sent while goofing off at workLong after the price is forgotten, the quality will remain. Both of my Poppy's 1954 Short Hoods -Third generation to weld with it and teaching a fourthSA 2## - Bought and sold more than I can remember or care to list, 8 in the shop right now
