Reply:the green dye is just one coat. the red dye was a bit of  challange, i sprayed on 1 coat and it just turned a light copper color, so i kept adding coats probably 5 in all until I gave up and though I wasnt going to get the RED I was looking for but then I sprayed the clear on it and the red really POPPED! seems the color really didn't come out until the clear was applied. dont know if this helps or not. goodluck
