Drill Jig from forum advise!

A few months ago I posted a question about cutting and drilling aluminum.  Well received some AWESOME advise!  Thanks to all.  I ended up drawing out a plate jig in CAD and had it cut out on a water jet.  Then using transfer punches 13/32" and a cheap bench top drill press I picked up I can drill multiple holes in a long piece of aluminum  and space them apart accurately.  I made the table and some parts out of wood (I know cheating) for cost and so it doesn't scratch up the aluminum parts.Thanks to all who helped!!!!here is the link to the original post http://www.weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=4428 Attached Images

Reply:Yea...... it's good stuff, but , for some reason, it always catches fire, when I try welding it together!......What Am I doing wrong?.... With the arc welder, its very hard to stike an arc, So I always end up oxy/Acy welding it!I've even got the filler "sticks"... Umm dowel rods, I think, from home depot, but they tend to burn too!We need to protect Freedom of Speech, otherwise, how would we know who the A-holes (like me) are.

Reply:I had the same problem trying to weld wood until I discovered "J B Weld".  Give it a try it really sticks that stuff together.
Reply:BB, ya gotta use the correct rod! "Plyrod" is your best bet.

Reply:Or, maybe on the wrong side of the wood...Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:Had to trim some wood down today.  I didn't feel like shaving it with the saw, so I whipped out my angle grinder and ground it down.  Almost set the wood on fire, but I got the job done quick.
