They used to hold florescent lights. Can these be welded on at all?Was thinking of bending them all out and making some sort of box.
Reply:Should be plain sheet steel from all the ones I've worked with installing the lights. Check it with a magnet. If it's magnetic, it's almost certainly steel..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Most likely 20 or 22 guage. Don't use a regular grinding disc on that paint. If you must use this stuff...use a flap style sanding disc...80 grit or higher so's you won't turn it all into razor blades. Better yet, blast it off where you need to for welding with o/a torch if you got one...just hold the handle in when you do it....then hit it quick with sand disc. Salvaged much such junk when I was poor(er).
