Finally got around to making my squat rack ... here's the pics...Question, in one of my last posts, i asked about the longer pieces bowing..  I took advice and clamped a piece to the pieces i thought would bow when I weld them.  But they still seem a little bit bowed....  Do i have to wait for them to cool down too?  Is my heat too high?(its the bottom horizontal pieces that bowed)Thanks,Derek Attached ImagesDerekMiller 211

Reply:The bar holders look a little weak.. could be just the picture, but they don't look like they will hold a lot of weight.. Nice rack otherwise.Never thought I'd say "nice rack" to a guy... feels a little awkward...www.thefusionsolution.com

Reply:Its 3/8" thick, its not going anywhere... i cant lift enough weight to put on there, that it'll bend..  It's got a 5/8 pin through the 3" part of the upright. It aint budginDerekMiller 211
Reply:Looks very nice. If you are going to work out alone you might want to consider adding a bar in the front to catch should you lose grip or want to use the rack to do bench as well. My squat rack doesn't have it and it is the one thing I really miss about the squat rack at the gym. You also might consider welding on some round stock bars to hold your weights when not using them. It's nice to know exactly where all your weights are right when you need them.
