"Honu Kai": 3rd-Hand for TIG

Preparing a NIB drysuit for sale, and discovered several 3lb Pb dive weights in the pack.  In addition, had a few ft of ss all-thread in the shop.  Linked 'em together and a Honu-inspired 3rd-Hand was born.  The Honu has swept-back "wings" during glide mode.No propane to heat the all-thread, so bent the rod in a vise (slowly) and introduced a minor crack at the 90deg interface.  2sec of MIG w/ 0.030" repaired the fracture.The Hawaii'an Honu is a source of wisdom and a sign of a healthy sea environment.  Rubbing the Honu decal on your rash guard before surfing always brought me solid luck!  This Honu will be a watchful guide for my TIG journey.Shaka! Reply:Good use of the weight.Out of curiosity what sort of drysuit did you have? I dove a CF 200 custom for years, but it's gotten a bit tight lately. Currently I'm in a DiveRite shell suit. I like things about both of them, so the jury is still out over which I like best, the crushed neoprene or the laminate..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
