Just a multi pass T and corner lapped together.
Reply:Any pointer would be appreciated!
Reply:1st pict lap looks good. You could be a slight bit slower as your "dimes" are starting to stretch out some. Size looks a bit wide if it's on 1/8" plate ( helps if we know what the settings, wire size material thickness is...) Make your motions smaller to reduce the bead size. I'd personally like to see your motions a bit tigher, so the "dimes" are closer together, but what you have is acceptable. Nice consistency in that bead, both top and bottom.1st pict the multi pass T joint, you are going too fast. You definitely have a V shape to your "dimes" there that says you were moving a bit fast. I'd also like to see the beads wetted in a bit better so the total thing was smoother. What I'm seeing might just be due to the contrast from the flash though. The outside corner in pict one needs a lot of work. That one is really rushed and looks too hot.Last pict the lap joint looks very large and again looks like you were moving a bit too fast from the look of the dimes. Inside penetration on what looks to be an outside corner looks good, if a bit inconsistent..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:Thanks! You hit the nail on the head with the corner. I rushed threw it and didn't turn the welder down. The metel was 3/16 and the millermatic 350 was set at 19.5 and 270
