Two lids or one...

For the past year I've been thinking about a jackson nexgen 60.  I use a speedglas 9002x  now but kinda want a second lid.  I was thinking about keeping one with my rigs at the shop where I work and then keeping one with some of the tools I use at home or in my truck.  Do any of you keep two lids???  Any thoughts about the jackson nexgen.  I keep spotting one on eBay that is priced right.

Reply:Having a second is always nice, you don't have to deal with the.. crap I want to do this at home but my stuff is at work. Or you can cart your stuff to and from everyday. Reply:I've got an 11-year-old Nexgen that's still my main hood.  I'd buy another in a heartbeat.  I also keep a regular Shade 11 in the truck for when the Nexgen's batteries go out or if conditions are truly miserable.  But the Nexgen has been beat around a lot and keeps ticking.
Reply:I had 7 hoods till both my auto dark hobarts crapped out on me. I always find myself reaching for the old miller flip shield or my Hobart flip up vs any of the others when I'm at home, force of habit ( first weld was with the same miller shield I still use, almost 20 years ago). Use a speed glass at the shop.....  Anyway it's real nice having more than one hood. Especially if you have a friend helping on a project or something. Keeps them from saying "ahh man you flashed me!"Real welders know how to penetrate!(Equipment)Whatever can be used to beat my opponent into submission!

Reply:I just got a true sight for 200 bucks off eBay and I love it. It has far exceeded my expectations. I pulled the lens out of the cheap halo x hood when I got it and put it in a hsl100. The hsl is such a better shell. I put a gold lens in the crappy halo x hood just to have an extra one. They both have the same new headgear which is pretty nice also. But really the true sight in the hsl100 is unbeatable man. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
