Doing overhead welding, some call it "Doghouse" /\ except it's at a 90 angle. Paper says a stringer bead, then weave and weave again. Instructor says try 2 stringers, then top off with a weave. it is simpler that way. Should I try to be concentrating on not having to grind as well? I know that sounds like a crazy question, however the way I see if I don't have to grind then my welds will hopefully be neater and better welds right? Thanks, Bob

Reply:I don't grind, but I notice other guys in the class grinding like crazy... and they are not on MIG yet. In fact I don't even have a grinder. I was told though, when I start MIG I will want to have a grinder. 6010 is easy to run out of position I will agree.
