Hey everyone, I know this has come up a couple times after going through the archives both here and on other forums, but does anyone have a current source (or better link to) an online retailer that sells Koike or Gentec (I know Koike are the Cadillac but I know Gentec got decent reviews too) quick connects (both for fuel gas as well as inert)? I found them on sale at Northern Tool in sets for 9.99 for the gentec torch sets and I am assuming I can used the oxy quick connect set for inert as i will never run argon at the pressures i would oxy coming from the reg side. The downer is a) they are backordered over a month now and b) being in Canada they ship UPS and the rate is insane compared to what USPS international is (to say nothing of the duty fees we canucks get crushed with on UPS shipped packages). I found fastenal has the Koike ones as well, but a limited selection and a bit pricey im hoping Thanks in advance for the help everyone.

Reply:ksdwelderman: yeah from all the research I've done Koike are hands down the highest quality and most reliably sealing quick connects available which makes it all the stranger to me that I am having such a hard time finding them. I know Westerns and Gentecs sometimes can be had from some of the bigger welding wholesale sites, but im ideally trying to find koike and even more ideally in canada or with a company like fastenal who has a presence and network here but hopefully with better pricing.
Reply:what bout your lws. thats where i got mine. iv had the westerns and theyre junk. they always came apart on me. when they didnt come apart they were leaking.MM 251MM 135Lincoln Pro cut 55Bobcat 250Miller Thunderbolt ac/dcolder ac forneyJackson nexgen 3n13-Smith OP setups97 Dodge dieselMakita chopsawJet swivel head bandsawlincoln tig 300/30030a spoolgunpuma port. gas air comp.
Reply:Not sure if they are available on line , but i get them from Airgas . They are a great and are very durable.
Reply:I think Fastenal sells Koike
Reply:Ram welding supply online has them, under 50 bucks a set.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:Tozzi: thanks for the tip, but they don't seem to wanna let us Canucks have a peek at their site and they don't say anything about international shipping anywhere. If under fifty a set is about the going rate for the Koike's I guess I'll just end up biting the bullet and ordering from Fastenal (I think theirs were 40 n change a set so). Barring that I'll hold out on the Gentec's on backorder sale at NT... Have you used the Gentecs at all Tozz? I heard a couple folks speak highly of them, but not as many as I've heard praise the Koikes. With what argon costs I don't want to mess around with junk.
