just wondering what kind of chopsaw disk everybody uses, been useing dewalt but there starting to get too expensive, need to find something a little cheaper
Reply:the a quick cut one from fastenal has in stock... brand doesnt usually matter, I have about different ones sitting in the scrap bin that I have warn from 14" to about 8 and they are all made by the same people...
Reply:I use the Walter brand. Don't know if they are cheaper than dewalt but I find they cut allot more than of brands. Got a bandsaw and don't use the chopsaw much anymore. Bandsaws are the way to go if you are spending allot of money on chopsaw blades. I spent about 500.00 on chopsaw blades over a year ago and the year after spent less than 200.00 on bandsaw baldes and I cut allot more steel the second year. Just a thought.Miller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.
Reply:I use around 600 blades per year. I have had the best luck with "Baum Iron" blades. They run about $4.50 each.
Reply:Going cheap on chopsaw blades is asking for trouble. Get the good ones no matter the cost. They will last longer and will be safer. I have a scar below my eye from an exploding blade. SAIT, HILTI, Makita, Norton, DeWalt all make good quality blades. There are others. Just remember, you get what you pay for. If it is half the price of a good blade, there is a reason.

Reply:Flexovit from Northerntool have been serving me well in my little hobby cutting with no problems to date.
Reply:On the hot saw we are only cutting stainless I find Sait and Flexovit good blades. As the others said cheap are cheap for a reason.
Reply:let me rephrase this: what brand of disk do all of you use and how well do you like it |
