Hello, I just got a brand new Vulcan Onmipro220 from Harbor Freight. I'm trying to MIG weld with Argon/CO2 mix, on 110VAC to play around with the welder. It welded one run of about 1 inch. I turned the welder off to do something, and now it won't arc. The wire feeds fine, but no arc. I've checked ground connection. I've tried different receptacles in my house, and also tried 220VAC. It acts like there is no ground. The connectors are tight. I've got the ground in the - and the welding tool connected to +. I just bought this welder, so I'm figuring it's something simple. I've had an old Campbell 110VAC welder for years. I have not tried the TIG torch or stick yet, don't know if I should if I can't get the MIG to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Reply:FYI, I just tried the TIG torch, and it works fine.
Reply:Strange, did you confirm all the menu settings when you turned it back on?
Reply:Did you ever find a solution mine is doing the same |
