Trailblazer 325 EFI EXCEL POWER error

Today I had a student running my new trailblazer at 120 amps like he's been doing for the past few days with the auto idle on. About 15 minutes into welding it decided to stop. Engine still running, but the display said on(left display) and 26(on the right). The amperage adjustment knob did nothing. Reply:I like the machine. to me it welds better than any of my many inverters for stick.  I don't have an sa200 or anything to base it off of for a generator style welder.  now keep in mind IT STILL WORKED AND WELDED on full rpm mode. it runs and welds nicer than my old ranger 9 I had my last school.the thought behind it is cool though. it automatically varies the engine rpm to meet the demands of the welder. fewer rpms=less fuel and less noise.  I really can stand next to it when someone is welding with it and carry on a conversation.
