Hey guys been reading a while first time posting... Completely new to 3 phase welders. I just picked up a 3 phase Hobart RC-300-RVS and a 3 phase Hobart 450-RVS both have Hobart 2410 wire feed units and work fine. It seams a little different than my millermatic 251. my question is could one of these be changed over to stick and just run dc stick off one of these machines or is that just a bad idea?Where can I find information on these such as users manuals. Thanks,Jason
Reply:You can try going to the hobart web site and ask.ITW Hobart has a lot of the manuals.Thermal ARC which ended up supporting those welders still has a few parts if you have the part number. They do not have manuals or supply tech support for Hobart welders any more.ITW Hobart will at least try to helpI think both are Mig only. If they were a multi-process welder. There would be a selector switch to convert the welder for stick to mig.
Reply:I wasnt sure if i could just hook the stinker right to the power supply + and turn the volts for more and less or if that would work or fry it.
