Just for fun... 1/4" aluminum with only 110 volts

I did this over the winter, thought I would share.First off, I do not claim to be professional, I'm a hobbyist at best when it comes to TIG welding. This was done on a Dynasty 200, hooked up to 110/120.I just preheated the plate in a toaster oven... lol. It seemed to work okay, pics tell the story. Obviously not the "right" way to do it, with the heat affected zone and all, but this isn't a load bearing part so I wasn't worried. Reply:Thanks guys. I think I had it set to about 140 amps, pedal floored. I might have been able to get a few more out of it, I don't know though. I have the DX version with all the pulse features, but the SD version would have welded just the same. It's actually functional...
