I have a friend that has a Magnum SG control module and Lincoln spoolgun set up for an engine drive. This is the good spoolgun I believe its the one. Anyway he has all the cables hose extra tips, nozzles and gauge for $400. I'd like to buy it and adapt to my trailblazer because I prefer this gun over my 30a I know i know thats almost blasphemy. So i am considering buying it keeping the 1/2 dozen or so spools of wire and flipping the rest.Makes sense? So at $400 could money be made or should I move on? Thanks
Reply:It's a good gun, the lincoln equivalent of the 30a. Being you want to run via a control box, you can probably adapt it. $400-600 seems to be about the going rate for those usedTiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma. Reply:Yeah I've looked into it a little bit and lincoln sells a cable kit to adapt it to a Miller. But.......the adapter is better than $200 so that's when I thought u could buy the setup and flip it. Like I say it's the spoolgun control box w/ cables as well as the spoolgun.
Reply:Meant to say I could buy it.
Reply:For a little more than you're gonna spend all in, you could buy a used 30a. I'd pass on the deal.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum

I just like the feel and setup of the magnum gun. I have the same gun on my snap on welder. If anyone knows an easy way to adapt I'm all ears? |
