I need to fuse weld some 1/4 plate brass............anything I need to know???

Reply:i've had good success using 12 ga copper wire as filler . weld was much cleaner than tigging Harris phos-bronze brazing rod . keep the heat down to avoid boiling off the zinc in the base metal and fouling the weld with sulphur .

Reply:I am making a angle for a ground block for several of my TIG welders......loong story !I decided to try copper instead. This is the first time I TIG welded copper. I used some #10 wire as filler and it welded up fine.....takes a lot of amps though.Thanx for all the help!!!
