I'm looking into getting a 20" disc sander for home and there are a few manufacturers that I've been looking at. The one I'm leaning toward is made by a company called Precise, it's got a Baldor electric motor, heavy duty stand, aluminum wheel, and adjustable base. I am kind of biased towards this exact make/model because I use it at my work almost daily. Is there a better deal out there for the same quality? I think the price is around 1400 after all is said and done. Thanks,Erik
Reply:You can probably pick up an older "State" or "Oliver" disk sander in that price range or less that will last you a lifetime. I don't think Oliver is making them anymore but you can find them at auction. I do think State and "MAX" (if they aren't the same now) make them that big and bigger.MichaelMillermatic 25115" Rockwell Drill Press10" Logan Lathe5hp - 2-stage 80 Gallon CompressorHome Made Sand / Soda Blaster |
