So this guy on Craigslist has a '42 Lincoln Short hood, it looks pretty nice and he said it's been kept inside a shop most of it's life, set up on a dual axle trailer with a propane cutting torch and new leads, I really don't want/need the torch or leads so he said he'll go down on it from $2800 obo for everything. What would be a good price to pay for this? I'm thinking about offering $1800-2000 based on some i've seen selling, once I go and test it out if I like it.Last edited by Jeromy_E; 01-10-2013 at 08:07 PM."Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. Reply:Personally I would not buy it, but maybe that is because I bought my 47 for $350 running and welding, and I know where there is an early 50's the guy wants me to buy for $600, that I started with the hand crank last year, after it had been sitting several years.
