Day 3 getting better.

So today was a lot better. I was able to get quite a few more starts. My dad who has two days of welding experience (literally) came out and suggested that because of the low amperage of the Machine it might work better to lay the rods on their side and roll them to get the start. Needless to say it worked. Was able to get a few good starts like that. After a few of those I decided it was time to try what you guys suggested. Using two hands made all the difference in the world. Was able to get quite a few starts doing that. Also cranked the amps up to 90. Still had quite a few sticks, especially towards the end of my session. Still need a lot more practice but you guys made a lot if suggestions that helped a lot so thank you so much for that!The second picture is the metal I was using the other day, so some of the welds are from then but all of the short welds are from today just starting the arc, welding an inch or so and then breaking the arc.
