After researching for weeks, I've decided to get the Cutmaster 38 from Thermal Dynamics. Can't find anyone locally that carries them, so I'm going to purchase it from the web. Can anyone suggested a reputable thermal dynamics dealer they've actually dealt with to purchase my plasma cutter? I don't mind spending a bit more if they provide great customer and technical support.Thanks.
Reply:Try cyberweld, i think they have some special right now on those and you get some free stuff.
Reply:also try indiana oxygen on eBay that's who i got mine from  good price and got some free stuff 350P 30A spool gun cut master 51  syncro 250 other stuff " take a dog off the street and make him prosper and he will not bite you sad the same cannot be said for man" i didnt use punctuation just to piss you off
Reply:Just an update-I went with the Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 38 from Cyberweld. Ordered it on a Saturday, was here by Wednesday, free shipping, free torch and regulators-Cyberweld was great to do business with. Now I have to wait til the electrician installs a 20-amp circuit to my garage just to try it out.
Reply:Depending on your garage, it should have 1 or 2 of the 20 amp breakers. Have you checked the box? Even if you don't have a 20 amp, you can hook it up, put it on a low setting and cut some 18 or 16ga. sheet metal...just to try it.  Congratulations on the new plasma, once you use, you'll wonder how you lived without it. Reply:Good choice! I love mine, don't know how I ever lived without it.Are you setting up a 220v outlet for it? If not you definately should. It will run on 110v, and cut thin stuff, but the difference in performance is HUGE.Once you get it wired in and get the feel of using it you will be overjoyed.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket!
Reply:I got the same deal you did and am very happy with it.  I agree with Joe though, you really want to have the electrician install the 220v outlet.  I first ran mine with 110v and it did pretty good.  But, then when I installed the 50a plug on it and ran it on 220v it was like a different machine!  Have fun!MM175 MIGCutmaster 38 PlasmaCraftsman 30gal compressor4x6 HF bandsaw1hp HF floor drill pressRyobi Cutoff SawAssorted grindersNot enough time
Reply:Count yourself lucky…  I received my Cutmaster 81 about 3 weeks ago, and I haven't been able to even turn the thing on-  I have to run a dedicated 60A 240V line right from the breaker box, which is about 75 feet away.  The only reason I haven't done it yet is the copper is going to cost me $200!  On top of that. I still don't have a compressor for the thing…  Whats a day without flippin' like a trout?
Reply:Congratulations--I love my '38.  Be sure to use a good air dryer, or 2, and it will cut best and consumables will last longer.
