I was looking at the Bernard Q series and S series mig guns for my ESAB migmaster 275. i like the original gun that came with the machine and it still works. i'm going to have that one set up to only use .023 wire and the new one for .030+. If i went with the Q series i would like the quick load liner they now offer. Has anybody used them or own one for your machines? If so what are their pros and cons of those two types of mig guns? Any info on this would greatly help me with my future purchase. Thank you.Miller Syncrowave 200Esab Migmaster 275Miller Millermatic 210Forney C-5Hypertherm Powermax 30
Reply:I own two Bernard guns, both around 27 years old. I don't know what model they are but they have been great. The liners last almost forever and the tips change with just a twist. I used Tweco before these and would never go back. The Bernards are just so light for their amperage size.
Reply:i went on the Bernard website and picked the gun i want and the options that i want with it. Lol WOW S Series air cooled mig gun with 300 amp 25 ft long OXO small handle, std trigger, 45deg medium rotatable neck, quick tip contact tip,for .035 wire and Euro power pin. Mig gun part number S3025TE5CE list price $694.68. If i spend that amount on a mig gun i want it to be a work of art and last a long time. lolMiller Syncrowave 200Esab Migmaster 275Miller Millermatic 210Forney C-5Hypertherm Powermax 30
Reply:i always found the bernard guns to be heavy and awkward when i was a mig drone many years ago. idk if they've improved since. even though you didn't ask i'm going to say tweeco was my pref.i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
Reply:I replaced a M25 that came with my MM251. I like it better-light and comforable. I got a good deal on ebay. |
