I've been roughly figuring out my max amp setting on my Miller A/BP by just roughly dividing the ranges apart. It's sort of annoying to not have a quick idea what my amperage is when I'm trying to learn to TIG and don't have any real reference for what a given heat setting looks and feels like. Fairly unimportant when you're actually talented, but it's nice to hang onto when you're new to TIG.As an example the DC ranges for TIG on a 330 A/BP are 5-50, 15-260 and 180-460. The actual adjustment is just 0-100.I'm sure this isn't perfectly accurate, I doubt the dial is a totally linear relationship to the amperage range, but it's a bit nicer than guessing. I know I can't figure out what 35 on the dial in the 180-460 range is very quickly. So, here's a spreadsheet with settable ranges, that spits out it's relationship to a 1-100 scale.https://www.dropbox.com/s/ofas4owbbj...esoldexcel.xlsI think it works correctly. Reply:I made a similar set of 6 tables for my 1963 Airco to print out and keep on the machine. (attached)6 of them because the stick ranges differ from the tig ranges slightly. However, I only included settings 0, 1, 2, 3, and so on to keep the tables short - fits on one page that way.Tapes nicely on the inside of the front panel. I made tables and taped them on the the Miller Dialarcs for the students at school as well.Dave J.
