I ran into a deal on tanks from a building engineer that is closing up shop and has 384 cu ft tanks for $100. One had 1100 lbs of c-25 gas in it and the date was 10-05! He still has other tanks like 251 cu ft O2 and 145 cuft acetylene, 100 # propane tanks, and others that I didn't write down. I bought as many as I could afford. The local dealers will let you trade types of tanks, like trade an O2 for c-25 mix or whatever. They only care about the date and if the date is out, it is only $35 to get tested. Some of the other tanks are only $75 too!  I don't know what these tanks are worth, but I think that this is a pretty good deal.  He also has a welding table made from 4 x 8 (I think from eye balling it) 1/4" steel and very sturdy for $100. I bought out all of his air tools (cheap) and a steel stock rack on casters that is about 3' x 4' and holds the stock upright. I may chop it up for the steel as cheap as it is. There are also I beams and other steel in the back of his lot. He is selling everything even the land and building, just retiring. He gave me about 150 # of steel to practice on like 5/16" angle and plate steel etc. I just missed his Lincoln welder / generator for $500. Bummer!Let me know if interested in any of this, and it is in Missouri, so in the middle of all of the shipping.Skip
Reply:do you know how much for either a 125 or 80 c25 mix but anything in that size will work.  Also if you have an estimate shipped to 92614thanks
Reply:I talked to the welding supply place and given the dimensions of 48” tall at the top of the valve and 7” around, it is probable an ‘S’ bottle that has a capacity of 141 cu. Ft..  It has had C25 in it and is empty, and all tanks are supposed to be shipped empty.  It does not have a company name on the neck, so it is owned and not leased.  It has been tested in 2002 and has a ‘+*’ on it so it is certified until 2012.  If you purchased it from the local welding supply it would cost $225 and the 80 cu. Ft. would cost $175, and they would be glad to trade it for an 80 cu. Ft. tank at no charge.  Your cost would be $85 plus $10 to get it to the shipping station plus the actual shipping from 64050 and the weight is 70 pounds, so it might ship UPS or another option.  You can call me (Skip) at (816) 716-7810 if you have any other questions.  Thanks,Skip
