What are anyone's thoughts on taking the bed off a Chevy 02 2500 duramax short bed (6 foot 7 inches ) to turn into a welding rig? Could that be done or would the weight be too much?

Reply:I got some brand new air springs I can sell you real cheap. But weight limit is weight limit, no way around it.
Reply:See pipeline rigs like your talking about every day in west Texas. Air bags and go for it. If it's more of a service type welding rig might need a bigger truck.But for a welder bottles lead and hand tools and pipe stands. Go for it. Just buy good tiresWhat kind of a machine and set up are you looking to put on that truck?
