I sold my mig in january and have been welding with my stick since then and want something with less work just do do something so simple, i need a mig/ flux that can weld up to 1/4'' not no sissy lunch box welder 115v or 230v just something to get er done, anyone know of sales goin on somewhere or where a cheap one is at ? HELP ME
Reply:Toolking.com has refurb hobart units at pretty good prices, but you almost have to find one at a steal to make shipping worth while. Check craigslist.com in your area...search under "welder". That way you get local stuff and avoid shipping.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:www.toolking.com is my first choice, too. I hear the shipping is expensive to Canada, and since I don't have a sister, shipping to your location would probably still be cost prohibitive. But for those in the States, $8 shipping for a reconditioned HH175 at $450 is the ticket.
