Picked this up last week and got to play with it tonight. So far I think I'm in love!!!!This is all sch10 stainless piping, with 1/16th 308L, 90 amps. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, but is it weird that this large gas lens kit makes the HAZ much smaller? I put my #9 standard gas lens kit in (and lower gas) and the haz was a bit larger. Reply:Haz isn't smaller, you just don't see the oxidization lines because you have much greater gas coverage.Any chance you can post some info on that kit? What torch is it for, what company, model, price?Miller: 200dx, Bobcat 225, Passport, Powermax 45, Milwaukee: Dry Saw, MagDrill, grinders
Reply:The HAZ won't change color if it's shielded by argon. If you were to weld in an argon chamber everything would come out silver. The other option is to travel quicker and hotter so the HAZ is actually smaller.Last edited by MikeGyver; 05-20-2013 at 01:58 AM.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com
