Reply:More of a machining capability question instead of a welding question. Yes, however, a good machinist who also understands the function of the system the levers are connecting to could make that, I'm not sure that with the design work and machining involved that it would come out to any less than what it's selling for on that site (actually may come out to quite a bit more to have a one off done).--Wintermute"No man's knowledge here can go beyond his experience." - John Lockewww.improvised-engineering.comManufacturer Agnostic:Blood----------Sweat---------Tears----|------------------|----------------|----Lincoln Red, Miller Blue, Esab Yellow

Reply:personaly if it was for my bike i would make it but the caveat to that is i grew up in a machine shop went to school for manual machining and have been a machinist for 15 years and i have been riding bikes my whole life all that being said if it were for a customer i wouldnt do it as has been stated previously there is alot of technical work it would take a good 2 weeks at least to do it manually from a picture with the bike present for fit up and even if you had the dimensions and had a cnc shop that would take it there is still about a day of programing at least then the setup then prooving and editing the program and finally a finished part.....why not just re route the lever to the side you need it and fab a mounting bracket? that would be atainable in most home shops by home hobbyists with a little vision and determination and alot less than the price of the unit pictured1979 sa 200victor 100several bfh's several pitbulls (for holding down the floor)
Reply:I could make a working set like that but it wouldn't be that pretty. Mac
