Reply:Good looking parts BC, but to tell the truth I thought your older parts looked really good too. Is there a big ease of use or a fair speed advantage over your old tranny setup? Thanks in advance,Matt

Reply:He would have a paying crew of at least 2. BC if You only had a 220 Volt dryer wire coming out of the wall with NO adjustments possible, I bet You could get them to look like that, I don't even dream that good.
Reply:I have been studying these welds. Very impressed. Without a rotary table it is hard to maintain consistancy around that diameter. You can tell BC loves aluminum.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li  ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.

Reply:Absolutely true, these welds exhibit a very high degree of skill but the Miller Dynasty does allow those of this skill level to work at their full potential. The Dynasty is an awesome machine to weld with, paticuarlly for specific arc characteristics using AC on aluminum.

Reply:Originally Posted by B_CLove to except the shipping would kill us......Need a local shop here in my area, but thanks for the offer........Can ya share more details about what settings you use on these welds and any "advanced" Dynasty functions and settings and how it changed the resulting weld?Tiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250
Reply:I'm using a 1.3 ratio on everything, and have three memory spots  programed for the lift parts I weld....So much easier to just select a memory than screw with settings.I can even use a memory setting to weld other stuff directly proportional to thickness and situation.....9 memories is waaay more than I need but nice to have.....The BALusually ends up being 70 -75  but I do have different Hertz settings thinner higher 120 and up.  Thicker wider beads 90 is what I'm currently using.....with 1/8 inch tungsten 2% Lanthinated.......Although I use Ceriated also since I have alot of it laying around.....Still using mixed gas but stopped using the 75/25 Helium argon which is over kill for this inverter machine.....Using 25/75 helium argon and it works fine......Probably could even reduce that mix if I had to......Haven't gone into the start amps and time for what im doing DEFAULT works fine....Last edited by B_C; 01-24-2013 at 02:57 PM.  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock

Reply:Woah BC, if you're 790 or something behind you may want to look into a cold wire feed & a roundabout setup (positioner with a steady or tailstock).I've never seen or used the cold wire with aluminum but I have with cobalt's & such and it's near a religious experience when set right & really fast.If you get to another zero behind that 790 you prolly could afford a hot wire setup (I don't even know if it can do AL but the ones I've seen run with iron based & SS are a fair bit faster than migs).Anyway I found a couple of links, first is AL cold wire & the second is the CK feeder, which I'm familiar with.[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhJZ-pJirkw[/ame][ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvi8nyXEsCU[/ame]Good luck catchin' up Matt
