I got the 95s yesterday,Off Craigslist . It has real good power. It comes with a decent length cord and leads ..I test drove it with what I had on hand,, some 1/8 6011 that it has no problem with and some 3/32  7018 it lays down very nice. The arc starts are a little sticky. I dont see it having a problem with welding up to 3/16 at all,Iv seem many on the internet say its only good to 1/8.I was playing around with  it  for a bit today burning 3/32 7018 @ 80 amps on some 1/8 and when I got to the end it was so hot it burned a hole in it,needless to say Im not the stick weld extraordinaire!! seems to maintain a real decent duty cycle as well, more so then the power dropping off after multiple passes it seems to get a little trickery  to strike up the arc,,, The next test over the next few days will be how it runs off my my little Honda genjimEsab Multimaster 260Esab Caddy160IEsab 161 STLESAB powercut 650Esab 220i tigLincoln Precision Tig 225Lincoln IdealArc 250INE SKYLINE 1500Klutch 140iMEASURE TWICE IS FOR MORONS

Reply:Scott I didn realize the peewee was smaller in size yet.physically it looks better made then the new ..is the 10 amp difference or duty cycle between the 2 noticeable.. I looking to pickup some of the 309 rod you been using.. Dave ,,,good to know I havnt tried the tig side yetEsab Multimaster 260Esab Caddy160IEsab 161 STLESAB powercut 650Esab 220i tigLincoln Precision Tig 225Lincoln IdealArc 250INE SKYLINE 1500Klutch 140iMEASURE TWICE IS FOR MORONS

Reply:TA makes good stuff!!!
Reply:How bad is it not being able to use a footpedal or other amptrol? I've never done scratch start, but it seems workable if you get your amps dialed in right....

Reply:Originally Posted by Drf255It's nice to have a pedal, but steel is totally doable with scratch start.  Unlike Aluminum, steel doesnt suck up the heat that quickly, so you need less amp variation throughout the length of the bead.Man, I miss my TA95S.  So light and tiny, I can't see how anything smaller would make a difference.  It was my goto machine for quick repairs.  Easy to toss the whole case in the trunk and make mobile repairs.  Could run it off a tiny Honda inverter generator with zero problems.Any of my friends that have stick welded in the past just look at the machine with amazement while you're burning rods with it.  It's so small.

Reply:The case isnt water proof.  The machines not that durable either.  Mine no longer works after being immersed in sea water for 7 days.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
