I've looked and can't find it anywhere. Thanks
Reply:I'm going to say a grade eight by the slashes, however the center symbol would appear to be a manufacturers trademark type of symbol. Also looks to be cadmium plated unless the photo is deceiving. Best regards, Allanaevald
Reply:Pretty sure that bolt marking was discussed on WW a while back.Don't know what thread it was in though....and forgot what it meant........it's a rare Egyptian Pyramid bolt - holds the door on the mini-fridge Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:I'd say a grade 8 hardened bolt, with a mfg mark in the middle of the head.

Reply:Isn't that the "we are watching you" symbol?GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:Yup. Grade 8. (Number of markings + 2). Marking is the manufacturer (or sometimes distributor). Common symbols are a triangle, HK, FNL, etc. Its yellow zinc plated, which is standard for grade 8. Has a TS of about 150,000psi and a yeild strength of about 135,000psi.
