I got the plasma cutter a few weeks ago and was having issues right out of the box the pilot arc was not working right. but it would cut if you scratch start it. I called northern and returned it for an exchange. Just got the new one today. It look like it had been out of the box before. ( some tape on the bottom and a few screws loose) figured I would give it a shot well get out the screw driver and tighten up the loose screws. Grind the metal nice and clean ( wanted to give it the best chance possible) Hook up the Air, Put the ground clamp on the work. Turn on the Machine hear the fan, position the gun. not fault lights lit up. Pull the trigger, and Nothing. Turn up the amps a little, make sure that the fault light is not lit, nope not lit, Low pressure light not lit. Pull the trigger, nothing. Turn the machine off and back on hear the fan. Pull the trigger nothing. call them up return it for a refund. Going to save up and get a hypertherm, lincoln, or miller.
Reply:Get a Hypertherm...Me!
Reply:Don't overlook Thermal Dynamics...The best things in life all come on a stick!
Reply:I will be looking at the Thermal Dynamics also. I just started looking at the Spectrum® 625 Which ever I get, I will have to save up for a little while longer but i am sure it will be worth it getting one from either Thermal Dynamics, Hypertherm, lincoln or miller.Last edited by bigmike6970; 01-28-2008 at 10:03 PM.
