Reply:From what i have read here... Hypertherm, thermal dynamics, miller, (hobart?) If it is important to you to buy locally for support that should be a major consideration. Oh yeah, try doing a search on this. There have been multiple threads in the past months.
Reply:Type in "Chinese plasma cutter" in your Google bar. That will give you enough information to confuse you. Your mind will be travelling in circles for a few weeks. Riland has some good reviews. If you look at Nick Kent's recommendations you will not find any bad reviews........

Reply:Their is tons of info all ready here. Just do a search. As far as I am concern, Hypertherm and Thermodynamics are the two best plasma's out there. They do more reseach and developement then any other brand and stand by the products. I did a lot of research when I bought mine. I tried the hypo 380 and the TD 38. I ended up with the TD 38 as it had a little better cutting qualities and the consumables were half the price. Their are a couple new models of for both these brands so you might want to check them out. If you are going for the cheaper brand or off shore units, I would PM GiantTechGuy who is a member here as he seems to stand by his products.Thats my 2 cents worth.Good luck and have fun.Last edited by jamlit; 02-15-2008 at 02:57 PM.Miller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.
