I have a Miller 40G. Its a 1983 model. 4 cylinder Continental. The Z1 coil(exciter coil is missing some smoke!) This has the blade type switches. In 1983 there was a changing point for miller. This Triple coil is square copper wound. Center coil must of found some moister and a faster path to ground. New coil used coil rewound? Any help Highly appreciated. Also need new head gasket. I understand these are steel and Im starting to get some blow by off this motor.thanks n advance! Grinder4400
