Bad case of "P.O. virus"

While working on my 73 beastly of a scout, I got struck with a case of Previous Owner(PO for short) virus, one of many that I have been fixing and/or replacing. When I finally got around to replacing the body mount bushings, I ran across the 2" make shift body lift that one of the PO's conjured up. They used 2" threaded pipe couplers mounted on top of the ole 30+ year old body bushings.I ended up making my own 1" body lift spacers. Basically lowering the body one inch from when I first got the scout. Lots of thanks to my full time job, I was given a 2-1/2" OD solid shaft. Chucked it up on the lathe at work and went to town turning down eight pieces off this one shaft. The new body mount bushing kits come with a sleeve that gets slide into both pieces at each body mount locations(8 locations in all). Since I'm going with a 1" body lift, I also had to replace those sleeves with ones that are 1" longer. Using old piston wrist pins, I chucked them up in the lathe and turned them to 1" longer and same OD of the sleeves I'm replacing. Reply:What type of scout?  I use to have many of them. Everyone I found in a farmers field ran.  Just rusted out. I think they came from the factory with rust.
Reply:thought the year, that I posted, would have given it away as being a Scout II. If it was an 800 model, then it be like 66 through 71 year models. Reply:when they picked my scout off the trailer at the scrap yard they used a forklift and grabed the roll bar i was really bumed but  i needed the money more than i need the scout i wasnt so bumed after they got it about a foot off the trailer and the whole thing literally broke in half there was no motor in it so it wasnt the weight lol it was just the paint holding the tub and frame in one piece lol1979 sa 200victor 100several bfh's several pitbulls (for holding down the floor)
