First project the wife got involved in!

My wife's been wanting a bottle tree for the flower garden and everytime were at craft shows she see's them and wants one, I'm too cheap to spend the hundred bucks and always tell her we can build one for little of nothing.  I got about 10 bucks into this and the wife actually helped build it, well she did the grinding and was a little intimidated at first but she caught on fast and I think she actually enjoyed it!  Just kinda a fun project and its satisfying knowing we built it together!
Reply:I think it is neat that everytime you and/or your wife looks at this tree, you will remember the "Fun" you had building it together..... Qualified & experienced at welding scrap metal

Reply:Gotta say - I don't see the point of the bottle tree either. But one thing I've learned is that every artist has their own idea of what will look "right". Doesn't matter whether your canvas is a garden, paper, or sheet of metal. What one person thinks looks great, another thinks looks like garbage. Heck, just look how many comments (positive AND negative) a post titled "How's my weld?" will get!!!!Andrew
Reply:well, throw in some glass blowing stuff and she can then make some cool looking flowers.or, stay away from that heat and do some nifty stained glass w/ leading. sky's the limit.maybe the trunk should be one of those twisted tubes the metal shops have.....
