In search of a Manufacturing Engineer with a focus on Welding Technology. In this position, you will work under the direction of the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to support the design, development and continuous improvement of production processes.  Job is located in upstate New York. Duties and Responsibilities include: • Fluency in interpreting engineering drawings including GD&T and weld symbology • Solid understanding of proper applications of various types of structural and pressure vessel welds • Ability to advise design for most cost effective and highest integrity welds and weld preps • Solid working knowledge of different filler materials and shield gases and their corresponding applications and limitations. • Experience with ASME pressure vessel code requirements • Demonstrated ability to set up and troubleshoot a variety of MIG and TIG applications, in both stainless steel and aluminum • Demonstrated ability to optimize weld process parameters to achieve stable and capable process performance • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize fixturing requirements to achieve stable and capable process performance • Professional presentation skills to support DFM proposals to the design engineering community • Strong general communication skills to support training of manufacturing lead persons • Creativity to challenge existing processes towards continuous improvement and cost reductionMinimum Qualifications include: B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with 5 - 10 years of industrial experience or Associate degree in Engineering (Mechanical discipline preferred) with 15 years of industrial experience.Please contact Greg Magin at MorningStar Resource Group should you be interested in this opportunity or wish to network in general (Greg was referenced to this forum by Bruce Vernyi, Editor-in-Chief of Welding Magazine).Greg MaginAccount ManagerMorningStar Resource Group257 Ushers RoadClifton Park, NY 12047T 518.348.0709 x 201E [email protected]
