I'm new here. I've been browsing the forums for hours and I like what I see! There are many talented welders here! I just though I'd put in my 2 cents and start this thread about the stuff I make. I got into welding one day when I saw the cool stuff my dad would make. So I sat in the driveway for hours chopping up bikes. I picked it up quick, and I'm glad I did! Love it! That was 3 years ago. I'm going to update my projects every time I build something worth sharing. But first I'm going to post some of my past projects.

Reply:The Slammed Shopping Kart did some pretty cool wheelies! This one isn't very much welding related, but i did do some welding to make the drop bolts mount on the board and make them low profile enough not to scrape!

Reply:This one happened recently to my 1969 VW Squareback. One week after I finished dumping 8 grand into it and restoring it inside and out it was in a hit and run accident. Some kid backed up into it and his trailer hitch did major damage. I found the kid parked a block over with my brand new paint all over his trailer hitch. Gotcha!! Well anyway, the frame was pretty badly bent so I had to chop off the whole front clip and find a donor car to take body parts off of. Welded it on as straight as I could and lined up all the body lines and matched the paint perfectly. You can hardly tell it was hit!

Reply:Built a custom trailer hitch for my VW this past weekend. Wend pretty smooth. The hardest part was bending the 1/2 inch piece of flat stock!! |
