Does anyone know where I can get a new gas cap for the SA-200 I am rebuilding? After all the other work I'm doing I hate to see that cruddy old piece of crap on top. Even sand blasting and paint can't make it look decent.Dave B.E-MAIL: [email protected] PAGES: www.wfmservice.comwww.rides4rides.comwww.pvpmedia.com/53f100.htmDad always said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."I say, We can make it better.
Reply:Try a truck or tractor parts house. Make sure to take the one you have with you.
Reply:Most auto parts stores can get them. Don't wast your time at advance auto or autozone. It won't be in their computers. Fing a parts store that will still dig out the paper manuals when needed. Bring the old cap with you and they should be able to match it up. The advice gtrman posted is good as well.
Reply:I have found that most NAPA stores are pretty good for getting replacement parts. They may not stock them, but they have books with parts for just about everything imaginable. In fact I think I have gotten a gas cap from them in the past for an old lincoln or the hobart I had. For some reason my helpers can never put them back on the tank! Good luck ~JacksonI'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
