Hi I bought a welding cap via a website from the US about 4 years ago, I am wanting to try and find out where to get another, the name has worn off the label witch is sewn into the peak and I cant remember what it said, it ended in "co" I think.. Its reversible, one side being striped, while the other is block purple. i have had many welding caps in the 20 years Ive been a welder but non as good as the one i have, but alas its staring to wear around the edge,, any help appreciated
. Simon
Reply:I am not sure if it might be a Kroner. My neighbor has one that is reversible and it is a Kroner. I will try to find out where he got it. I do not wear a cap when I weld. Makes my hood fell like it is loose

Reply:I have had much better luck with a simple "do rag" like the motorcycle riders wear. Weiler sells them here and they are much easier to wash and easier to get a good fit than a regular welding cap.

Reply:Don't get one with flames on it. Even if it's only for a second or two, you don't want people to look at you and think "Oh, that's just his cap" if your head is actually on fire.Ditto the design with the spiders, too. You'd never notice the real spider sitting in your cap until after you put it on your head.Pass on the camouflage cap as well. If you put a camouflage cap down in the yard, you'll never find it. If you could, then it really wouldn't be camouflaged, would it?Seriously, I'm going to order one from http://suziescaps.com/ next week. Thanks for the info! |
