Reply:I had received the e-mail also. It looks an awful lot like my Horrible Freight belt sander. The base is different but the belt bed looks identical.Tim Beeker.
Reply:Not sure about where they are made but Wilton does make the best vises there are. I am sure it is much better than a harbor freight unit or they wouldn't allow there name to be put on it.
Reply:when i worked at a previous job (tool & die), we used Wilton power tools all the time. worked great as long as they were used properly and taken care of. not sure how the new stuff is, but their older stuff was great. Later,Andy
Reply:I've never had a Wilton tool that wasn't top notch. I wouldn't hesitate if I was in the market for one.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:i have the exact one.... i love it... though it does come on a pallet, make sure you can get it off the truck.... i had the free ship also... model 4210.. tag doesnt say where its made from...but the casting are very good... belt is kinda a pain to change, but i only changed it once... i like the dust port for a shop vac... tony
Reply:The wilton's are nice. I'd get a wilton over a grizzly.Contemporary Metal Wall Art and Abstract Metal Art
Reply:i went with the g1183 sander and the g0613 band saw i tried wiltons customer service and grizzle customer servicelike i had trouble wilton would not anser me grizzlys service is the best Attached Images
Reply:Wilton makes some stuff (like there good high quality and very expensive vises) in USA. Other stuff that they make is made in Taiwan. That sander is made in Taiwan. I had used the wilto sander as pictured above, and I have the grizzly sander pictured directly above. Both are good machines I like the tension setting of the wilton better but grizzly has unbeatable customer service. Thats a good price on the wilton and both have powerfull motors. They do grind more than just metal, so watch your fingers.
Reply:We had the exact wilton sander here at work but it didn't hold up long at all. It would probably be fine for a home shop or if it wasn't being used for heavy grinding. We got an old bad SOB now, you CAN"T stop it.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools |
