Are the parts for any 26 series torch inter-changable with any make of torch? ie, CK in a Weldcraft, Weldcraft in a Thermal Arc and so on and so on......
Reply:unless it's some kind of specialty 26 torch, all parts should interchange so long as the torch manufacturer designates it as a "standard" 26 torch. The threads should all be the same. What kinda parts are you looking at? cups/nozzles/collets/collet bodies? 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:The 186 is a gas cooled torch, so it takes "3 series" consumables. All the cups, collets, collet body etc should be on the shelf at your LWS and they are relatively inexpensive. The gas saver series is nice if you're really using the torch a ton. They run in the high 20's to 40 bucks or so. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that the Pyrex cups that equip the gas saver only come in size 8 (or so I believe).www.triarc.us |
